21st Century Occupations

Life changed indefinitely throughout the Covid-19 pandemic which plagued our world, physical human connection had become a distant memory. This work was been my way of taking back control, to connect with others and record a period of time for many that still had to work in their place of business. The portraits contained in this project allow for us all to have a brief insight into the working environment of those featured, without the need for masks and social distancing. This work celebrates all workers past and present and highlights the people behind the uniform or job, whilst paying homage to the great August Sanders. All portraits have been taken around the Greater Glasgow areas, Scotland. This ongoing work is dedicated to Eric, the beekeeper in this body of work, who sadly passed away shortly after my time with him.
